Completing your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with SOYA is a journey in wisdom keeping. Part of the wisdom that you will gain and ultimately pay forward to others, is becoming Pain Care Aware. 

Welcome to the PCA journey. Discovering pain is more complex -  and more relatable, than you might currently believe.

  • not knowing how to increase evidence of safety in your student/client
  • being unsure of what to do after providing pain education
  • the cognitive and heart felt mismatch between yoga teachings and common western views of pain
  • not knowing how to provide bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to teaching
  • a feeling like you’ve been asked to turn yoga into physical therapy
  • a feeling that you’ve been asked to turn yoga into  Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Then you’re ready to learn more about pain and pain care.

The goods news is that Pain Care Aware Foundations will provide you with knowledge and skills to overcome these barriers and effectively integrate yoga and pain science into your class cueing language and teaching approach.

Being Pain Care Aware will guide you in teaching people who are experiencing pain – whether the pain is acute or persistent, physical, emotional or spiritual, - and learn to live with greater self awareness, inner peace and physical ease.
