As long time practitioners and teachers in pain care yoga we have often been asked how to begin offering this important and helpful PCA methodology in individual communities. We have guided teachers and therapists for years in adapting the PCA methodology and techniques into bite sized pieces in succession to their clients/students and how to establish small group yoga therapy sessions for people with persisting pain.

As you know from your foundational studies with us, pain is complex and often requires complex solutions. We look forward to guiding you through these complexities, so that together we can meet our mission in changing pain in society.

Our years of guiding others in this way is the inspiration behind PCA's curriculum development course offering. We are very excited to share what we know works and to support you and your teaching. In this course you will learn how to teach a 6-Week series of Pain Care Aware yoga therapeutics, in succession. We have created new student handouts and will offer lesson plans that can easily be adapted to your unique skill set.

We hope you are ready for guidance into the next level of being Pain Care Aware and that you continue to broaden your perspective in what it means to change pain in society.

Changing pain is possible.

"I cannot rave about this course enough. Neil and Lisa have synthesized their extraordinary skills and expertise to create a unique, stand-alone course in how to facilitate healing for groups of people suffering from persistent pain. The guidelines for each session of a 6-week workshop are brilliantly thought out and jaw-dropping in their insights. Moreover, even after practicing as a certified yoga therapist for years, I had not, until this course, fully grasped how to gracefully integrate each of the 8 limbs of yoga with the science of pain. Overall, the course was highly enlightening and inspirational. I can’t wait to apply what I have learned to my next workshop on yoga for pain care."

-Pamela Perry PhD, C-IAYT

"Lisa & Neil have developed a comprehensive, educational and inspiring program to support yoga teachers and yoga therapists in facilitating group PCA programs for students in persistent pain. The content and training provided has prepared me to confidently share this program. Thank you Lisa & Neil!"
